Description of Project:
The round rotunda on the first floor houses the registration center. Large quartersawn Maple benches were manufactured on a radius with raised panel backs. The second floor rotunda was constructed with raised panel wainscote and bookcases, all cut from quartersawn Maple. The center of the library houses the circulation desk and the reading lobby. The circulation desk is fabricated on a radius with quartersawn Maple veneer with computer stations in the back. Over 300 feet of plastic laminate wall and base cabinets provide ample storage space around the perimeter of the walls. 200 feet of raised panel wainscote gives the reading lobby adjacent to the circulation desk a more formal atmosphere.
The auditorium stage was constructed from quartersawn Maple flooring with raised panel columns. Quartersawn Maple wainscote covers the perimeter walls. The projection room bulkhead and cabinetry was built from raised panel quartersawn Maple.
